In fact from the cabin you can launch onto the Fish River for a fantastic nature filled day trip down to Saint Froid Lake. For longer trips or for limitless variety, you are within a half hour drive from many put-in points on the Aroostook River, Fish River, Machias River, Mooseleuk Stream, Munsungan Stream, and a half hour flight to the Allagash or St. John River.
