DEER HUNTS

Northern Maine boasts some of the largest whitetails in North America. If numbers is your goal perhaps Southern Maine might be an option, but if you are looking for that one in a million buck you might want to give Northern Maine’s ten million acre wilderness a try.

This is not farmland hunting. For those new to the region, there is a learning curve. Ranges are larger and you might even experience some pretty interesting migrations. Early snows sometimes put these hardy northern bucks into their winter yards during regular hunting season.

Give it a try.

GROUSE HUNTS

Another unique hunt. Wilderness grouse hunts are a blast. Again, this is not farmland hunting. It does take some getting used to. Some of our more experienced hunters do very well cruising the beach ridges, spot hunting the berry patches, or running their dogs along the literally thousands of miles of overgrown logging roads. If you like to get away from the crowds and hunt some birds that may have never seen people check it out.
